What Is A Community?

So, what is 'Community'?
Well, I found this definition not very far down the list.
"Community - Sharing, participation, and fellowship."
We've got a lot of that here, and I think that defines as us having a solid Community. Awesome! There are many things that go into maintaining a positive community, and the responsibility of doing that falls upon it's members. We are a group of intelligent, creative, like-minded individuals that enjoy games that are based on Escapism. Database Maintenance

approximate duration of maintenance: 29 June 2009, noon to 6 pm EST ::: Finished early (for today) at 1:22 pm EST :::
There may be some slow spots during the day today as I do some database maintenance. Rejoice, for your staff is attempting to make your time here trouble free!
NOTE: There were intermittent database outages during the maintenance period. This is an expected outcome, as database tables must be shut down while being modified.

Database Errors and YOU

DnDOG has periods of time what we have dubbed 'Database Errors'. Although annoying, these errors tend not to be destructive, nor unfortunately abnormal.
None of us Mods, nor most of the Admins, know the exact reasons why this happens.
A few things we do know:- It is very annoying when it does happen
- Database Errors tend to occur approximately around the same time every day
- Thus far, it is always temporary - no site crashes have been a result of such
