I saw somebody was doing ranger/warlock... how about swift hunter on the ranger side? That would give the eldritch blasts an interesting punch to them. For the warlock side, thematically the Master of the Yuirwood (FR: Unapproachable East) fits very well. It has ranger flavour, can advance warlock 10/10, and has some teleport like abilities which can easily be reflavoured to fit the world (House of Orien even).

Now I am thinking something else.
I'm thinking a Bugbear Monk/Rogue.. FYI, I am out of town on business. I have my laptop. It has a mobile broadband card. I should have access to the site.. However, I don't have any of my books... I also am running low on power as I forgot my charger.. I'm borrowing my co-workers charger so I should have enough juice tonight.

hey, as long as you can suck a brain, you qualify for savant. that's like... a feat from complete Psi (afb also)
I was only joking, but an illithid savant//xyz (especially a psi/spellthief) kicks a LOT of ass... especially if you sucked a wizard to get the wizard/spellthief feat for master spellthief. (I'd actually recommend sucking a wilder for a pool of PSP and psifeat abuse etc.) Obviously, I'd let you do it.. you'd just end up having a tentacle mustache like D'argo from Farscape, or Davey Jones from Pirates'otC... it would look pretty distinguished on a bugbear. (why bugbear?)

Man, I'm getting all gonzo over the Illithid Savant idea now. Why the hell didn't I think of that SOONER?????

Ugh, any mention of the Illithid Savant makes my skin crawl (pun intended). Weren't we trying to keep the power curve reasonable? I swear, if we come across a Sarrukh anytime soon...

actually, if you limit savant expoits to your current HD or less, it's not unreasonable. Illithid itself sucks up a good 10 HD, leaving you with 4 levels of savant. then it's really my fiat that dictates what is acccesible.
but knowing Emy he either won't do it or he'll limit to more martial stuff. it's only as broken as you let it be. Besides, Surreal... you are playing an incorporeal creature that is virtually unkillable. I can't imagine anything more survivable than what you got going. *elbos ribs* wait... I'm taking that back. I'm mildly offended. From all our past engineering, I expected a more enthusistic response than an exasperated sigh. Is there a legitimate reason why a savant couldn't be constructed that would mesh well mechanically with the rest of the team?
